Known as the "judicial capital of the world," The Hague is the center for everything official in the Netherlands: the home of the Dutch government and parliament, the workplace of the King and Queen, and the base of many international affairs such as the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Wed): get engrossed in the history at Panorama Mesdag, see the interesting displays at Escher in Het Paleis (Escher in the Palace), then view the masterpieces at The Mauritshuis Royal Picture Gallery, and finally get a sense of history and politics at Binnenhof & Ridderzaal (Inner Court & Hall of the Knights). Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate the long history of Old Church, admire the landmark architecture of Euromast, admire the landmark architecture of Erasmus Bridge, then don't miss a visit to Rotterdam Centraal Station, and finally make a trip to Markt.
