Venture beneath the earth to see one of the world’s largest subterranean lakes at Cuevas del Drach. The four caves sit 25 m (82 ft) underground and stretch 2.4 km (1.5 mi). Marvel at the impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations that adorn the cave floors and ceilings. Take a guided tour through the caves, which includes a boat ride across Martel Lake and ends with a four-piece live classical concert. The paths can be quite steep and slippery, so be sure to wear good walking shoes. To visit Cuevas del Drach and other attractions in Porto Cristo, use our Porto Cristo trip builder tool.

I was totally totally shocked! I booked a half day tour. Remember to rush to the front when you reach the entrance, which will be very helpful for your subsequent journey. The cave is a bit humid...

I was very disappointed with this visit. The caves themselves were very impressive - but the organisation was appalling. There were far too many people let in at once, and we were herded like cattle..... more

Beautiful caves worth the visit. The trip underground isn't extremely long, but one of the most amazing caves I've seen. Do note that both the queue at the entry as well as the trip are very crowded. Make sure you're 15 minutes early before the scheduled starting time. There is no guide, unfortunately, with the personnel mostly there to prevent pile ups and to keep people moving. There is a bit of a rushed feeling to the walk itself. This feeling, however, is taken away when the musicians on the boat arrive and perform their music. This part is definitely the highlight of the tour and is accompanied by an amazing atmosphere. One advice: please resist the urge to film or photograph the performance, because the standing people and screens lighting up are a huge distraction to a wonderful performance. It's also forbidden and causes the staff to constantly have to ask people to turn off their recording. Just sit down and enjoy the moment. It's nice to take the boat ride to the exit, although it's probably only 200 meters and there is, again, a long queue. It's also right next to the walk, so you don't get to see anything extra. My 4 year old son did really enjoy it though. Decide for yourself whether you find it worth the wait.

A must-see while in Mallorca. One of the most amazing caves I've ever seen. Our tour guide promised us "millions of stalagmites and stalactites" and I assumed it was a figure of speech. I was proven wrong. This cave contains an incredible amount of them, possibly millions of them. The walking path through the cave is 1.2km. It takes one hour to complete, including the highlight at the end. While seated in a large cavern turned concert hall, you get to enjoy classical music played by musicians on an illuminated row boat. Magical! After the concert, you can walk towards the exit or stand in line for the row boat. Worth the wait!
