This temple is one of the oldest Taoist Temples in Singapore and started life as a thatched wooden shrine on the waterfront where sailors, gave thanks for reaching Singapore safely which sailors might do on their way to the bars and other delights a few blocks up. It was an interesting temple and definitely worth a look.

This is an amazing temple quietly nestled in the CBD area. The decorations in the temple are very intricate and detailed. Photography inside the prayer hall is prohibited, but you can still see the decorations outside which look like they have been delicately crafted. The temple is also well known for those seeking to look for a match in love, quite a number of devotees came here to pray in search for a match.
