Taste genuine Singaporean dishes and street food at Maxwell Food Centre. Under its steel roof, this former market building features hundreds of food stalls mainly offering dim sum, noodles, fish balls, and other Chinese-inspired dishes. Both tourists and locals come to queue for a plate of Tian Tian chicken rice, but make sure to check out the other local favorites, such as China street fritters or fried sweet potato dumplings. Avoid the hours between noon and 2 in the afternoon if you don't want to be caught in the long lines of office workers on a lunch break. Work out when and for how long to visit Maxwell Food Centre and other Singapore attractions using our handy Singapore driving holiday website.

Great place for eating. Plenty of shop s are open the whole day, and lots of people comes here to have lunch / dinner. The choice is vast, and everything is quite cheap. You can find dishes from all other Asia, especially some dishes from Singapour. Some shops are quite famous, but I've never tried them yet. The Thai restaurant at around 1-90 does an incredible pad Thai, and the the Chinese one at 1-76 is also great. The choice of beverage is quite vast, lots of shop offer them. No "big firm" here, everything seems to be run by families.

Had a breakfast here, I thought there would be a lot of options. But at 8 am most restaurants were still closed. We finally had this noodle and pork rice, tasted so yum & rich. People were nice. Should go here around 9-10am when all restaurants are open.
