Create an itinerary including Albert Park
Elegant gardens await you at Albert Park, an oasis in downtown Auckland. This park features palm trees, a Victorian fountain, artistic statues, and a floral clock--plus a collection of local and international plants from across the globe, like the Argentinian ombu tree. Meander down the site's paths, view the vibrant flowers, and admire the beautifully designed green space in the heart of the city. Visit the art gallery and gardens tucked in at one corner, or stop by the small museum of memorabilia housed in the original park-keeper's cottage. See Albert Park and all Auckland has to offer by arranging your trip with our Auckland trip builder.

  • I liked the old trees and the garden areas at the summit. This park is on the top of the hill, with a lot of climbing to get there. Try to find a gentle approach as some are steep.

  • I admit that the name “Albert Park” always makes me smile, as it recalls me the more famous Albert Park of Melbourne, the venue of the Formula One Australian Grand Prix. Well, the New Zealander one...

  • This is a great place to go if you're in the city on a sunny day. For a park that isn't all that massive, it has a lot of lovely 'park features'. The layout is cool, there is a fountain with benches around it, various statues (and a random sculpture of a protractor?), a band rotunda, and the flower clock (it doesn't usually have its hands but still cool). The flowers/planting is incredibly gorgeous; it is the spot in the CBD to eat your lunch or read a book.
