Visit the garrison that became known for crime and debauchery at Kowloon Walled City Park. The attraction occupies the site of the former Kowloon Walled City, a unique peninsula garrison that remained under China's jurisdiction until Hong Kong was ceded to Britain. In 1899 Chinese troops were forced to vacate, leaving the garrison a lawless enclave that became a safe haven for criminals, prostitutes, gangs, and drugs lords hidden in a network of dark alleyways. Eventually, the 30,000 residents were relocated and the grounds reclaimed for a park. A model of the slum's illegally constructed network of buildings can be seen at the park today, surrounded by reclaimed natural beauty amid a peaceful atmosphere. Kowloon Walled City Park is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , custom trip planner Edition.

A unique historical area of Hong Kong that has gone through so many changes over the decades. Now it's a beautiful park to explore and walk around with a few exhibits describing the history as well.

Nice garden with heritages and remain of the Kowloon Walled City, very Chinese garden. Not much children facilities but we had a great time with the kids. Many nice spots for photography. Also a couple spacious area for children to play. A big fish/turtle pond there too. There is a zodiac sign park with the Chinese zodiac signs.
