Mutitjulu Waterhole
Discover Mutitjulu Waterhole, a hidden gem at the base of Australia's most famous orange rock. Backed by a surreal silhouette of the massive, jutting rock, this unusually shaped thirst-quenching hotspot on the eastern side of Uluru is just one of the natural wonders you can see while hiking the outback trails of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Access the small viewing area from the boardwalk and observe how the calm, glass-like water surface reflects the iconic sandstone walls bathed in sunlight. Look for the prehistoric rock paintings, showcasing the significance of the site to the Aboriginal people. See Mutitjulu Waterhole and all Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park has to offer by arranging your trip with our Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park trip builder app.

The experience was pretty amazing. We arrived a few hours after a shower, plus there was a short downpour last night. The water hole was full, and the aboriginal description of "strong woman" really hit home... Water truly is the giver of life.

We had this place all to ourselves. What a magical place to sit in silence and take in all the sounds of nature. The colours and light show on the rocks from the sun and passing clouds was amazing.
