Queen Victoria Building offers an architectural delight: an extravagantly detailed shopping center from Australia's late colonial period amidst the gleaming modernity of downtown Sydney's skyscrapers. From the outside, admire the Romanesque Revival facade that American architect Henry Hobson Richardson employed throughout the city in the last decade of the 19th century. Observe the large copper-sheathed central dome, cupolas on the corners of the roof, and columns all along the exterior walls. Inside, see stained-glass windows, arched skylights by the central dome, colonnades, and balustrades. And the shopping isn't half-bad in here either. Do not miss the QVB if you love old historical buildings and architecture. Glad the city of Sydney had the foresight to save this building from demolition and bring it back to its original glory...

Amazing building, a great restoration. The stained glass windows are worth the visit. Buzzing with character and a shopper’s paradise. A short tram ride from circular quay.

Enchanting enticing and elegant Awesome shopping in beautiful building that is full of charm and character. Specialty shops with many jewellers, designer bags and shoes and of course coffee and chocolates. There is an amazing clock worthy of a visit it’s decorative, huge and amazing. Grab high tea at one of the many cafes. Plenty of text rooms. Love your local guide- M🧡 Like me if useful or follow me for more reviews.

This place is worth the visit just to see the architecture of buildings in years gone by. Lots of shops, mostly high end, with a huge array of eateries. This mall is in an older building and is beautifully set up. We went there in November and the big Christmas tree was already there. Interesting shops and nice restaurants. We stopped at one for lunch and were impressed with the food and service. Would recommend a visit if you are in sydney for more than a couple of days
