Pylon Lookout at Sydney Harbour Bridge
From the top of the southeast pylon on Sydney Harbour Bridge--87 m (285 ft) above sea level--you have panoramic views of Sydney, the Opera House, and the bridge itself. As you climb the 200 stairs, learn about the bridge’s construction and the workers who built it from informational plaques, exhibitions, and old footage spread over several levels inside the pylon. Interestingly, while providing some support, Pylon Lookout at Sydney Harbour Bridge, with its granite façade, is mostly decorative. This was $24-95 or $16-00 concession and the climb up the stairs nearly as hard as the Bridge climb itself >The Museum had a few articles and a video but if I did not get a free ticket from my son...

Great views from the Pylon lookout! We bought the tickets when we booked our bridge climb and pylon tickets are half price then! They’re good for a full year so you don’t have to do the bridge climb and pylon on the same day. It’s a really place for photos, as you can’t bring cameras up on the bridge climb but the views from the pylon are pretty awesome too! Would recommend on a sunny day! It was quiet when we were there so plenty of time to enjoy the views and take pictures. The museum is also very interesting.

Very interesting and well organized site. Was pretty easy to get to and the climb to the top was not bad at all. The view was amazing, with neat navigation markers pointing to every key piece of geography in the Sydney area. The workers were very friendly and the historical displays were well organized and informative. Highly recommended!
