Situated inside a converted electric station, Powerhouse Museum houses a huge collection of art and artifacts celebrating applied science and design. The museum is known for kid-friendly interactive displays and popular shows featuring props from films such as "Star Wars" and "Harry Potter." You can visit a number of permanent exhibitions, including one displaying a life-size model of a Space Shuttle cockpit. Other exhibits highlight the steam engine revolution and modern cyber technology. Arguably, the most popular exhibit is The Strasbourg Clock Model, a working replica of the famous Strasbourg Cathedral astronomical clock. Great place to visit on a cloudy or sunny weather, and all parts of family - kids, grandma grandpa and everyone. No need to book. Parking is generally an issue but within a reasonable walk you can validate your ticked for a discount just check their website. Kids having lots of fun especially in the areas where kids can touch, play or climb. We spent there about 4 hours and seen only half of the place. So we will need to go again to continue..

Great things to see, learn about and do at the Powerhouse Museum in Darling Harbour. My kids loved it. There were lots of stairs and things however, so definitely NOT pram friendly. We also found it odd that the ceramics display was right next door to all the children's activities. That's asking for trouble 😅😬.
