Create an itinerary including Clovelly Beach
Head to the beach at Clovelly Beach to avoid the crowds on other stretches of sand around Sydney. Locals adore this beach, which sits on the point of a concrete-surrounded inlet, for its calm, clear water full of comfortable and lack of other visitors. Bring your snorkel to check out the underwater action and lay out in the clean sand or along the smooth concrete if you prefer sand-free lounging. You'll encounter the beach along the coastal cliff walk between Bondi Beach and Bronte. You cannot scuba dive here during the day between October and April. • Another nice beach that you encounter on your walk from Bondi to Coogee. Unlike the other beaches on this route, Clovelly Beach is quite protected from the rolling surf and therefore is a safer place....  more

  • Clovelly Beach is a narrow alcove between cliffs and man-made concrete walls and baths which detracts a little but it is interesting and relatively protected beach along this section of the coast...

  • Great spot for a swim in the ocean if you don't want the sand option. Good access to the water off the rocks and concrete landings
  • Great beach for sun baking and a gentle paddle. No waves so kids enjoyed a quick swim and then playing in the sand and trying to catch crabs on the rocks. Only the one beach kiosk there for food and drinks and nearest shops are a few hundred metres up the road. Wasn’t a big deal for us but something to consider when comparing to other nearby beaches. Found 2 hour parking pretty easily even on a hot summer weekend day.
