Nestled between the shiny glass buildings of Darling Harbour, Chinese Garden of Friendship feels like a secret spot. Entering the garden, you walk into a piece of traditional Chinese landscaping in downtown Sydney. Walk past small waterfalls, exotic plants, and pavilions, and watch koi carp swim in lakes. Sit down at the Teahouse for Chinese tea and dim sum, and visit the Dragon Wall to understand its symbolic bond between New South Wales and Guangzhou. Beautiful garden!!!! Lovely to stroll through on a sunny day. Interesting rock shapes all throughout the gardens. Mostly flat to walk around but there are a couple of sets of long staircases around the garden that lead to a lovely spot at the top where you can view the whole garden from above. Toilet facilities on-site. Kid friendly. Worth a visit.

The Chinese Garden of Friendship is a beautiful oasis in the heart of a very busy city. It was such a lovely experience to walk through the various areas of the gardens. Every aspect has been thoughtfully designed. You can spend as much time as you like once you pay the small entry fee. You can even end the walk with lunch or tea in the little restaurant at the exit.
