Road Transport Hallf of Fame
Drop by Road Transport Hallf of Fame to see a huge collection of big trucks, old road trains, vintage cars, motorcycles, engines, and special tools. This museum of transportation includes over 100 restored vehicles, many of which were used by the pioneers who conquered Australia’s outback. One of the site’s most popular exhibits is the chassis of the first Kenworth truck ever produced, which came off the production line in 1971. This comprehensive museum, the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, showcases great Australian vehicles and narrates the story of intrepid Australians who drove these machines over some of the world’s most difficult roads. Your admission ticket is valid for two days, so explore the fascinating history of transportation at your own speed. Put Road Transport Hallf of Fame on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Alice Springs online journey builder.

Make plenty of time to see everything as there's a lot to see and read, I also camped out the back, its not 5 star but its cheap and that's what I was looking for.

Worth a visit for all sorts of reasons. Great for kids, or kids at heart. There are many giant trucks in mint condition, beautiful cars restored to pristine condition. A walk through the old Ghan train. So much to see and learn

An eclectic mix of displays: various historical vehicles especially early Cars (ford, Buick, and others) a range of engines and trucks (including interesting makes and owners) and galleries with historical extracts, displays and many great vehicle models - and that's just the first building. Also there is an old Ghan train, impressive kitchen carriage and more, plus a Cafe. Well worth a visit - allow 2 hours or more.
