Port Olry Beach, Port Olry

#2 of 7 in Beaches in Vanuatu
Sunbathe and swim at Port Olry Beach, a white sand beach with great snorkeling in clear waters amidst a backdrop of rolling green hills. Visit at low tide and walk across the sandbar that's usually under water to reach two nature reserve islands. Do not leave without trying the seafood here, which is an important part of the area's economy. Some specialties include lobster, crab, and octopus. • We discovered Por-Olry as part of a tour of the island (east coast) on a day trip. Port-Olry was one of the stops of this trip, the one where we had lunch at lunch. The corner was really nice, with that feeling of being at the end of the world. A great place to decompress and recharge. We regretted not having planned in our stay in Santo to stay 1 or 2 nights in Port Olry.
