Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Get outdoors at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt. Coot-tha. Take a break from Brisbane with a short trip to Sea World Theme Park in Main Beach, about 1h 40 min away. There's lots more to do: have fun at South Bank Parklands, explore and take pictures at Suncorp Stadium, take some stellar pictures from Mount Coot-tha Lookout, and take in nature's colorful creations at City Botanic Gardens.

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Get in touch with nature at Scuba & Snorkeling and Trail Bike Adventures. A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
On the 15th (Tue), kick your exploration up a notch at some of the top local zipline courses and adventure parks, then identify plant and animal life at Cooper Creek Wilderness, and then get interesting insight from Ocean Safari.
