Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Fri): hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour, identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Goðafoss Waterfall. Kuwait City, Kuwait to Akureyri is an approximately 14-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Kuwait City to Akureyri. Traveling from Kuwait City in March, expect Akureyri to be colder, temps between 3°C and -3°C.
