Get some cultural insight at Uluru and Valley of the Winds. Museum-lovers will get to explore Walkatjara Art and Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Mutitjulu Waterhole, trek along Uluru Hiking Path, get outside with Walpa Gorge, and make a trip to Field of Light.

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
On the 22nd (Sat), view the masterpieces at Doongal Aboriginal Art Gallery Cairns, then trek along Esplanade Boardwalk, then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and finally take in the exciting artwork at Bones and Jones. On the 23rd (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Palm Cove Beach, then kick back and relax at Trinity Beach, and then surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour.

A holiday in Port Douglas balances an activity-filled getaway with plenty of opportunities to relax, thanks to its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef and bustling beach life.
