13 days in Broome & Perth Itinerary

A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.

Albury to Broome is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone difference when traveling from Albury to Broome is minus 2 hours. Expect warmer temperatures when traveling from Albury in September; daily highs in Broome reach 38°C and lows reach 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) so you can travel to Perth.

Get some historical perspective at St. Mary's Cathedral and Corrigin Dog Cemetery. Take a break from the city and head to Rockingham Beach and City Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Perth side-trips: Dolphin & Whale Watching (in Mandurah) and Fremantle Prison (in Fremantle). There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Trigg Beach, identify plant and animal life at Caversham Wildlife Park, stop by London Court, and learn about winemaking at Sandalford Wines Swan Valley.

Getting from Broome to Perth by flight takes about 5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Broome, expect cooler days and a bit cooler nights in Perth, ranging from highs of 24°C to lows of 9°C. On the 13th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
