Located right in the center of Australia, the national park boasts perhaps the country's most iconic natural symbol and a sacred place for the region's indigenous people--as well as Kata Tjuta, a collection of 36 red rocks forming an equally distinctive sight.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Valley of the Winds and Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Do some cultural sightseeing at Uluru and Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga. There's lots more to do: head outdoors with Walpa Gorge, trek along Uluru Hiking Path, view the masterpieces at Walkatjara Art, and look for all kinds of wild species at Kuniya Walk.

The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
On the 28th (Sun), cast your line with a fishing tour and then see the interesting displays at Defence of Darwin Experience. On your second day here, learn about all things military at Darwin Aviation Museum, then identify plant and animal life at East Point Reserve, and then get interesting insight from Tours.

You can fly from Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to Darwin in 11 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Prepare for warmer weather when traveling from Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in June: high temperatures in Darwin hover around 36°C and lows are around 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 30th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
