A lot of people take something in the restaurant and leave the car there, and they do it to the Castle and the sanctuary. It's all a way up and up to a part that the stone bleachers begin. The castle is a walled in ruins, throughout the mountain range, its views are more than impressive, you can see a large part of the Serra De Tramuntana, the highest peaks, and some valleys. In the highest part, there is the Oratory of the Mare de Déu del Refugio. From there the views, both on one side and on the other are striking, especially the crystal clear days, seeing perfectly the port of Palma and the boats. It is highly recommended and worth climbing.
Некогда замок защищал один из путей к горному хребту Трамунтаны. Сейчас наверху 800 метровой скалы остались одни развалины. Но виды потрясающие. Есть несколько обзорных площадок на все стороны. There are several viewing platforms on all sides. The rise of medium complexity, a normal path is replaced by boulders and scattered stones. The climb took 45 minutes, although the downstairs in the parking lot looks much more affordable. The road to the castle is replaced by a very narrow rural road to a ragged uphill.
An amazing experience to hike through the mountains, when finally reaching the top where you are able to grab a cold drink or a snack and enjoy the view. The best thing is to park at the restaurant nearby, and walk for there - then it will take you 1 hour to get to the top. The castle itself is in ruins, but still very charming.
Breathtaking view. Going there by bike makes it even more worth it, when you finally get there. But be aware. I parked my bike, and then I got back, both tires had been emptied for air by some sick person. Had to talk 3 hours to get to a gas station, to get air and could continue back home. The restaurant on the way done wouldn't help me at all. Even though I had eaten there earlier. That shouldn't have mattered though.
