Kiwi Birdlife Park Reviews
I booked this with relatively low expectations, but both our kids are nature nuts and very eco-aware - the park is lovely, nicely laid out, with very informative audio guide packs to take you round... more »
This is just about the only chance you’ll get to see real Kiwi birds but there’s so much more to see and learn. This is a great bird park and while it’s not cheap the money goes to a good cause. more »
Very beautiful to visit and see real Kiwi and other native New Zealand wildlife animals. Park is not too big and you can complete your walk in a couple of hours. Kiwi are behind glass enclosure in darkened building (thus you can not take pictures). It’s worth borrowing the self guided audio tour equipment as it helps understanding what you are looking at. Staff also very helpful and caring. My wife forgot her T2 tea cup in the toilets late in afternoon and we were able to find and pick it up the next morning. Staff had not thrown it away.
Really nice wildlife park. The kiwis were very active which was a pleasant surprise since I had been trying to see them with no previous luck. The kiwi feeding and the shows were also great. Came here for the kiwi but truly enjoyed the whole park specially the Kea area as you get to go into the enclosure and watch them hang out and go about their day. The Tuatara and Falcon were also great. Really recommend this place for anyone looking to see these magnificent animal and learn about them in the process.
