  • I will write this review based on my personal experience so that, if possible, I can serve other users who are eagerly searching the internet for information about their holiday destinations. We made the trip as a couple. We've never visited Morocco before. We have seen half of Europe, but on this occasion, we wanted to meet the neighbouring Alawite country. And we wanted to know him attracted by his idiosyncrasies, or perhaps by the idiosyncrasies that is projected out of him. For the reason of our work, we do not usually have many days to make our trips. In this case, we were going to be in Morocco Wednesday night, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Sunday you practically lose him for the return. Or at least in our case, as we went on Ferry and left our vehicle at Tarifa. We proposed the route we were going to do to visit Tangier, Assilah, Tetouan and Cheauen. On Friday it was time to visit Tetouan. The former capital of the Spanish protectorate, that city where Sira Quiroga enculated his life in the series "Entre Costuras". The picture was encouraging, we had watched online blogs and videos on youtube from many people who had visited it before. It must be said that the city is not a touristic place. It's something that the same hotels recognize. They say it's because they claim to preserve the essence of ancient Tetouan. But of course, when you see online that Tetouan is virtually eradicated from the tourist routes of most tour operators; gives you to think. You won't find in its streets many "guiris" or foreigners walking quietly while taking their photographs. Instead, you will find many Spaniards moved to visit this place for one reason or another. In general, in Morocco, you will find yourself in a lot of insecurity when you walk through its streets, especially at night. You will see a strange mix between indigenous Moroccans and other more Western people; that is, a rare mix between normal people and dubious-looking people. We are used to good, humble, bad neighborhoods in our cities. However, in Morocco you will find people of all kinds in the neighborhoods considered good neighborhoods. And of course, you're not going to be short of people offering you in broad daylight and without modesty, joints, chocolate and that sort of thing. What I was going to, Tetouan... "The beautiful Andalusian". When you walk through its streets there is much Spanish vestige of the golden age, you see the old Spanish Cinema, the Plaza del Palacio Real, the Avenue de Mohamed V inside the...

  • It is one of the cities that has not yet lost its authenticity. You can walk around it without being robbed by the vendors. It's actually seeing life from a different point of view. Nothing touristy. I loved it.
