Koutoubia Mosque Reviews
It has more fame than it deserves, it is an ordinary mosque on the outside, naturally inside it is not visited.
more »Built in 1147 during the Mwahid dynasty, this minaret mosque is 77m high and a landmark in Marrakech. The minaret for the azan to call for worship is also characteristic of each region, and the Moroccan one is a prismar shape. It is interesting to see that it is in a completely different format from Turkey and Iran, and that the same Islam differs from country to country.
I really liked this mosque, because the architecture is so beautiful. I recommend going there at sunset, since you will get great pictures. I would also suggest to visit the surrounding parks - also a lot of good photo opportunities!
Beautiful place. It was really a nice place to take a walk and enjoy the gardens. There were a lot of vendors selling orange juice, sugar cane juice and other snacks. It was nice to just relax for a bit and have a juice to cool off during the hot summer days!
