Just off the Rinkai shore sits Engetsuto, a small rock island famous for its circular hole formation. Waves and wind have caused the siltstone, sandstone, and conglomerate rock to erode, over time creating the hollow section. Clear blue water surrounds the island, where the hole perfectly faces out toward the horizon. Many people come here for the sunset experience, as the sun pierces through the island when it is perfectly aligned. Make sure you bring your camera. Very beautiful place. It’s quite nice to see it during the sunset and if you’re lucky enough you can see it set within the opening on the island(from the right angle) It’s a short walk from the bus centre to see it, but about 15-20 mins to the most popular place to see it set. If you come for a day trip bus bus from Osaka, the last bus leaves at 6:24 (I think) so keep an eye on the time and you can see it these days before you jump on the bus back. There is also a foot bath and small beach really close to the bus centre, so if you don’t want to do the walk you could always relax there and watch the sun set from there too. Curry shop nearby is really good too (near the fishing shop)

Beautiful at any given time of the day. It's fun to listen to locals talk about how this island is connected to couples and their happy ever after. Sadly, you won't be able to go near it but only view it from a distance. You would also surely love to brinf your sweetheart along woth you and view this during the sunset.
