Learn about the Indian Navy and one of its most famous ships at INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, a museum dedicated to the Kalvari-class submarine, decommissioned in 2001 after 31 years of service. Take a tour of the 91.3 m (300 ft) craft, with retired naval personnel among the guides who show visitors around. Used on patrol missions during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the submarine's long and storied service remains a source of pride for the country's armed forces, who have lovingly maintained the ship and fitted its interiors with information panels and in situ props.
