Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple Reviews
This temple was dedicated to Visnu, it can be found through several very ornate gates. In the courtyard of the church there is a very interesting carriage with an octagonal, peaked superstructure, used during festivals, just as Catholics carry the sacrament in the procession. There are also many shops in the courtyard of the church, where believers can buy graces, but of course they also think of tourists. Luckily, we could go up to the top of a side sanctuary, from there we could see the whole complex very nicely. It has several buildings of different styles, e.g. the gates are colorful, but there is also a snow-white church and there are uncolored carved sculptures.
Interesting temple and even more interesting architecture - well planned. However beware of people asking for money for special blessings or performing special pooja(prayers ) for you. more »
