Shivasamudram Falls, Belakavadi

See an impressive geological feature at Shivasamudram Falls, a pair of waterfalls that both flow from the same river. The segmented falls have a total height of around 98 m (322 ft), although the cascades get interrupted by several rocky tiers before hitting the plunge pool at the bottom. The power of the waterfalls led to the creation of Asia's first hydroelectric power station here, still operational today. Bring your camera to capture the spray of the furiously flowing waters colliding with the falls' rugged rockiness. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Belakavadi holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Shivasamudram Falls and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.
