Visit the memorial garden of Jallianwala Bagh, a public park that houses the monument to the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, when British forces opened fire on unarmed civilians celebrating the Punjabi new year. The memorial was established in 1951 by the Indian government, to serve as a somber reminder of the tragedy in which an estimated 1,000 people lost their lives. You can still view numerous bullet marks on the preserved walls of the site, a reminder that a number of people also drowned while trying to escape the bullets. With our custom trip planner, Amritsar attractions like Jallianwala Bagh can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

Visited this important place which remain a monumental that bring to us the memory of people's struggle to freedom. Major portion has been barricaded with nothing left to see, other than taking a snap near the monument which is Punjab State's official logo. Trust the contractors quickly does the job and make the place open to all curious visitors.
I have loved this place from my perspective. It reminds you of something which happened years back for which this place name spread like air. People who lost there life here were the symbol of patriotism of country visiting here reminds me of my motherland.
