Visit the memorial garden of Jallianwala Bagh, a public park that houses the monument to the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, when British forces opened fire on unarmed civilians celebrating the Punjabi new year. The memorial was established in 1951 by the Indian government, to serve as a somber reminder of the tragedy in which an estimated 1,000 people lost their lives. You can still view numerous bullet marks on the preserved walls of the site, a reminder that a number of people also drowned while trying to escape the bullets. With our custom trip planner, Amritsar attractions like Jallianwala Bagh can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

I thank the govt. Of Punjab for procuring such an iconic and legendary place that take place a very important part in the history of India. Jallianwala Bagh is one of the top most maintained iconic places we have in India and should be visited at least once in the lifetime if you're ever in India.
