If you are interested in learning more about the fishing history of Iceland , this museum will be of interest. It does not cover the Vikings, only fishing. Packed with interesting photos, model ships,... more »
Great museum with a focus on the fishing industry in Iceland and its history. There was also a nice exhibit about a ship which sunk in the late 1600s but has been rediscovered recently, including items they found in the ship.
A fantastic museum. Contrary to most maritime museums of the world, this one focuses not on marine biology, but on ancient and modern fishery. Thus the museums nick: "fish&folk". One to two hours.
