  • This particular place has.got very good atmosphere. I was there there times during my short stay on Iceland and each time I spent more than an hour, drinking very good coffee and herb tea and checking books. The only bad thing about the place is that prices of books are very expensive.
  • Iceland is a nation that reveres the written word, and you will, in this store, find many books containing Icelandic words arranged most artfully, along with a vast selection of Icelandic magazines and newspapers written on actual paper. (Remember those?). English speakers will not feel left out, as there are a good many books that have been translated from Icelandic to English, books about Iceland, calendars, and non-crappy souvenirs. Add in a first-rate little coffee shop with fresh pastries, as well as a lovely and helpful staff, and it's hard to go wrong.
