North Sailing, Husavik

4.3
A tour with North Sailing offers the chance to catch sightings of these majestic creatures. Hop aboard a traditional wooden boat off the coast of Húsavík (the capital of whale watching in Iceland), to spend a day hunting the seas for Minke and Humpback whales. While whale watching is the main feature, you may also see dolphins and seabirds, such as puffins, on this tour. Coveralls, hot cocoa, and traditional Icelandic scones will keep you warm and fed during your time on the boat. Be conscious of weather conditions, as seasickness can occur with particularly choppy waters. If no whales are spotted that day, North Sailing will offer you a future free tour. • I've forgotten which one it is, but there are a number of whale companies selling tickets near the Husavik Pier. I believe that all the whale companies are professional and serious, because miracles happen to us. We were very good at the time, and this whale fish was discovered by us shortly after we whale the ship to sea, and all the fisherman ships were planted in front of him, " We have three other fisherman ships chasing him, and he is completely fearless, like a professional actor (not boastful, who seems to have been trained by the whale fish), in front of us to perform the submersible/flip/forward and spray, has been performing 30 minutes to 40 minutes, very boastful. The man who was said to be an Italian, he said, he took people to sea many times, This time it was a very difficult experience. The spirit of the whale is so great that it seems that we are connected to the veins of the ocean. Husavik for the world's top three whale warm point, not at all. What you need is not just a little bit of luck. Appreciate whale will dizzy ship, there is dizzy boat to inertial, need to take dizzy ship medicine first.

  • I do not know whether it is more of irresponsibility or incompetence, it is in fact that it was a really terrible experience, both for me and my boyfriend that for most of the approximately 20/25 other passengers. Given that having already paid everything with a cancellation up to 24 hours before the North sailing would not have beaten a euro and it would have been correct to inform the type of excursion (which is not absolutely explained on the site) and especially the high risks before the departure. We have a rainy day and a bit of rain. Neither I nor my partner have ever suffered from seasickness and the water at the harbor seems quite calm. As soon as we leave over half an hour of explanation that it is possible to vomit only in the sea (absolutely not in the only bathroom), there are no indoor spaces if you're not well, if you fall into the sea you must immediately scream to get the lifesaver (yes because you are not in any Tied way, there are no seating for everyone and spewing leaning on the boat with the high waves you risk very easily to fall into the sea). After a while the first people already start to feel bad and the staff guys instead of asking if you need, laugh at the tourists. We were also expecting a quiet exit just outside the harbor instead we make the whole crossing to Greenland to see just in passing a bay of whales from afar. Morale almost everyone is hurting for a whole hour too. Over 3 and a half hours we spent more than 3 high-speed to make the whole crossing A/R with an absurd cold despite their thermal suits. I think they knew very well the high probability knowing their sea that we would be bad all and not say, when less alert was extremely unfair, I repeat especially since they would not lose even a euro. Little professionalism along with the course risk make me say with extreme conviction to stay away
