The fact that the 12th-century Old Stone Bridge is still standing is a tribute to medieval engineering. The bridge above the Danube links the old town with Stadtamhof. Its Bruckmandl statue was erected in the middle of the 16th century. He is said to symbolize the city's freedoms and its emancipation from the control of the Bishop.     I went on a Sunday and all of the stores were open, unusual for Germany. There is plenty of parking. If can sit on both sides of the river if the weather is nice and get some sun. It is bicycle...  more »

    Fresh air, marvellous scenary of river and it's surrounding locations, some people plays nice music in the evenings on the bridge, so many beautiful ducks that feels me like Paradise. Nice restaurant near by river.

    Historical place, nice to take a walk and take pictures of the city of Regensburg. At the end of the bridge, going inside the city, there is a really nice place for "Wurst" called the Wurstküche. One of the best places in the city.
