  • Unexpected, controversial and therefore very interesting monument to one of the main actors of Bavarian politics Frenchman Maximilian Monjeel. (In German, Montgelas is read). The sculptor's decision is original, unpredictable but, in my opinion, quite worthy. Now the young residents of Munich at least wonder what kind of person is so interestingly immortalized. And this Frenchman, as it turned out, was almost the most powerful prime minister of Bavaria in history. Took a weak curtswith with a territory of 1500 square. km, and left it a kingdom of 2,250 sq. m. km, with enormous influence in German affairs.

  • This sculpture stands in tribute to Maximilian Josef Garnerin, Count von Montgelas, a 18th and 19th century Bavarian statesman. His main legacy seems to have been loyal service to Bavarian rulers and promoting policies to advance the Bavarian state. This sculpture is in Promenadeplatz, amongst other well known Germans. The sculpture is larger than life especially as it was intended to be the same height as the other monuments in the square, but without the pedestal. The sculpture is made of aluminium and depicts the statesman in portrait pose. I think the main interesting thing about the sculpture is both the material and the realisation of the sculpture makes it appear to have been created from layers using a 3D printer. It's a little interesting, but don't go out of the way though.
  • It would be nice if it were illuminated at night
