  • Let's start with the positive: Always very friendly staff at the checkout: great. Great architecture and always highlights for the eye: you don't even have to drive into the distance anymore. The world-traveling atmosphere is already being created in the store. The icing on the cake is the ubiquitous "Traveller-Du" ("I'm a great tip for you..."). But that was it. Flops: First of all, advice: For the number of visitors absolutely not enough and not sufficiently qualified staff. If you need something from the assortment here, then this often involves subject-specific questions, which are only sometimes well but often not particularly motivated or expertly answered. In the Department of Insect Repelling, for example, we were made aware that we must avoid DEET 50% for children between 9-12 years of age, which is not permitted. On the packaging, however, it is clearly stated on the back that it is approved from 2 years. This objection was then not further informed. I can read myself and real expert advice looks different in my opinion (I am aware that there are different recommendations for DEET depending on the country and region etc. But if I'm in a department that sells something like this for (by the way, 50% above the Amazon price), then I just expect a more nuanced consultation. Next example: Order placed on the Internet with pick-up in the store on "Item in stock". Despite the order value of more than 200€, Globetrotter is not too bad to add the few Euro shipping costs to this as well. So pick-up in branch Müchen. Email Info "Your order is ready for collection". So went extra - and found that only half of the order arrived at all. The whereabouts of the remaining order (ordered more than 2 weeks ago) are still unclear. In the branch, I insisted on clarifying this and informing myself. However, the person in charge was helplessly overwhelmed in a "meeting" and the very friendly but impotent employee with regard to a problem solution. Request by phone in the shop is not possible, you are always put in a call center, whose opening hours do not correspond to the shop opening hours (example: Saturday 4 pm: "You call outside our business hours".) Another example as already indicated: annoying, penetrating dozens on all channels. This now seems to be a super-incoming marketing mess. I don't know how most other customers are doing and I don't want to be a skewer now: but especially when it comes to dissatisfaction with the service and inadequacies and a business relationship in general, I prefer a polite "you" much more. as a sticky, bending "you". "You i have da ne gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanz great recommendation for you". Well, great. Another nuisance: Despite the huge area, many sizes are simply not there. And the shop-in-shop concept is once again such a great marketing gag (like the "you"), which is actually not customer-friendly but primarily brand-friendly. All in all, a gigantic travel equipment marketing machine with a very inadequate customer orientation.

  • A friend and I were here today to equip us for our trip abroad. It is always great how competent, friendly and courteous the staff are. We would especially like to highlight Timo K., who advised us with his extensive expertise and with his kindness and his humour directly spread a good mood. Another lady joined the consultation directly to take his tips with her. In addition, a blond gentleman on the 1st floor advised us on the water bags (unfortunately we don't know the name anymore). He addressed us directly and thus saved us from a possible "false purchase" or instead explained and showed us the right product for us. Also at the checkout we were warmly received and made to laugh by the jokes of the employees. One has the feeling that there is a good atmosphere among the employees. Great that there are still shops with such a service, you can be sure what you get for your money! Thank you from us!!!
