Originally an early medieval castle, Dachau Palace was partially destroyed over time. What remains was redone in Baroque style between 1715 and 1717. Visit the interior of the castle to see the magnificent wooden Renaissance ceiling of the main hall, then take in the views of the gardens and Munich beyond. Save some time to wander the extensive gardens and perhaps enjoy a slice of cake with some coffee in the veranda cafe.
