Great Wall at Shixia Pass, Beijing

4.3
Walk one of the world's iconic structures away from the busy crowds at Great Wall at Shixia Pass, the only "wild" portion of the landmark wall around Beijing opened to the public. The Shixiaguan section runs for 10 km (6 mi), winding along the mountaintops and past a village of the same name. The entrance, Shixia Pass, suffered complete destruction in a 17th-century battle between a rebel leader who fought the Ming Dynasty and became the emperor of the short-lived Shun Dynasty. The first few bits of the pathway are covered with boardwalks and secured with iron railings. As you move along, you will run into countless watchtowers, some heavily damaged towers, and a few fairly preserved. • whatever the plot we choose, it is a mass of emotions and very cool! This section of the people is not a lot and it's not commercial, infrastructure, no, it's even better, because the impression that we are alone with the wall

  • I adore travelling on a wall, regardless of location. This site is one of many dotupnyh to an entrance for cars (not everywhere can you may come)
