During the rainy season, you'll be able to see Les Chutes de Boali in its full strength. Water from the falls is used as a reserve for droughts in the area, and it's controlled by a large dam. However, the full potential of the falls can be seen on Sundays, even in the dry season, as a tourist attraction. The falls are 50 m (164 ft) tall; if you stand on the viewing platform, you'll see panoramic views of the area as well. There's a small fee you'll need to pay prior to visiting the site. I was at the falls near the end of the rainy season. The amount of water was astounding. Since the last war the infrastructure around the falls has deteriorated. Below the first lookout the steps..... more »

when the falls are filled with water. We visited during April, and this was still a good time to go and see the falls. Well worth a visit if on a 2-3 day trip to Bangui more »
