Planet Baobab, Gweta

#10 of 12 in Things to do in Central District
If you are looking for a Makgadikgadi experience with a difference, beam up to Planet Baobab. It’s a very original, fun and affordable lodge situated on the edge of the Ntwetwe Pan in Botswana. They offer traditional Bakalanga mud huts (en suite) or traditional Bushmen grass huts with two comfortable traditional beds made from mopane and cow hides. The enormous chandeliers in the shebeen (bar) are made from beer bottles suspended from the thatch roof. You sit on traditional kgotla chairs and stylish cowhide recliners. Meals are served next to the campfire beneath a huge marula tree. Plan to see Planet Baobab and other attractions that appeal to you using our Gweta travel planning tool .
