  • I like museums but it is not worth 40 BOBs for going there. Not much to see and very little information about the exhibits. Boring! Not possible to take pictures. Watch your step when walking around! ...  more »
  • It is a must in Potosí. And it must be done, but be careful. They're not too punctual. If you find it closed, just wait. Another topic is the type of visit. It's a guided tour. And we had very bad luck with the guide, quick explanations and no time to see the objects calmly. When we protested he told us that we could sign up for the next visit again. What was the point, if the method was the same? It is a pity that you cannot visit without a guide and calmly.

  • This is where you’ll get to know how the European industrial revolution was funded, as well as most of the mechanisms that comprise our current economic and political situation. Yes, Potosí and its precious mountain Cerro Rico is where it all started. For further reading I recommend “las venas abiertas de America Latina” by Eduardo Galeano.
  • Interesting exhibit about coin minting starting from the 17th to the 20th century. A bit pricey though for 40 Bs and you might need to wait up to 1 hr for the compulsory guided tour to start.
