I truly enjoyed the museum. We spent close to four hours exploring the exhibits. It was a really interesting collection of military, sailing and other historical artifacts. The buildings/fortifications themselves were interesting too. We also got to see a baby dolphin at the dolphin encounter (you can visit this without doing the actual encounter) and that was a real treat. It is an easy walk from the cruise ship dock - well worth it.
Interesting museum. A nice visit in itself, but worth it for the view if you go up to the Commissioner's House - exceptional view on a gorgeous day! Dolphin Quest is located within the museum, so if you pre-booked that attraction you are also granted admittance to the museum. (For those interested in just looking the dolphins, it seems that you're welcome to come and take a look at the dolphins with your admission to the museum - but museum admission does NOT include interaction with dolphins.) Interesting exhibits and open spaces outside for kids to run. Very convenient if you are on a cruise docked at the Dockyard.
