Sydney Harbour Walking Tours Reviews
I recently visited Sydney and was, as is most I suspect, stunned by the awesome specticle of the Harbour Bridge. I'm not good with heights but needed to do the walk over the bridge to experience the..... more »

I’ve had great experiences with I’m free walking tours in both Melbourne and Sydney! The guides I’ve had are all locals and know the ins and outs of the city from basic history, to little known fun facts, to where the best dive bars and local spots are located. In Sydney, Lachlan was my guide and his charisma and evident passion for the city made me even more excited to be visiting. I’m free does a great job of connecting you to the city as well as other travelers and ensuring that you have a list of spots to hit following the tour. Highly recommend going as early as you can during your stay!
I went for many tours on my trip here and Rob was easily the best walking tour guide I’ve met ever! He was so effortlessly humorous yet sincere and professional, delivering just the right amount of information while connecting what we saw on the tours and our prior experiences to the histories of the area. It was a really good mix of history, his personal experiences, recommendations, insights from locals (think his light-hearted take on Sydney-Melbourne rivalry) and trivia in the right proportions. In spite of the fact the he was handling a group close to 30, everyone could hear him loud and clear and seemed engaged. I work in education, hence I know how difficult such a task is, but he nailed it. Loved the concept as well, where you paid for tour at the end according to how much you think it’s worth, if you’re in a position to - it speaks a lot about their passion and integrity in conducting the tours. I recommend all travelers to do this tour and early during your trip, as it really helped me get my orientations and from then on I was virtually able to walk anywhere within Sydney city.
