  • Along with 5 other people, I was on my first Street Art Tour. In the group, we were a mixture of Danes, Americans and people from Australia. The ambiance of the group was super good thanks to the good guide Erin. Erin was good at telling about the various works of art in the city, showing the hidden places of Newtown and not least arousing my interest in art. In the past I have not speculated more about street art, instead I have seen it more like graffiti. But after this tour I have begun to interest myself more for art in the cities and think it is fascinating how to decorate cities in so many different ways and thus give the other expression! On the tour we also got a nice body of coffee at a cozy and local coffee shop which was tucked in the small streets. In addition, we also got a beer on the city Brewhouse, which is clearly also worth a visit. All in all an absolutely perfect tour which can only be recommended to others!

  • We were a group of 6 that was shown around by the enthusiastic Erin. She was an incredibly good guide who took us through the art of the street. On the tour got a good cup of local coffee as well as beer! So all in all a super bold and exciting experience!

  • Amazing and highly rec as a Sydney activity. I thought the ticket price was expensive, but after it, was very worth the cost. Made me understand so much about the city, history, and streets I would walk down and think nothing of. I've never left a Google review, although I rely on them (also, I am in NO way involved with Culture Scouts other than this one tour I just took) but it is worthy of a review, because I highly recommend it to both visitors and locals (have already done so to my friends here) The tour guide Melinda was AWESOME, is a twice published author about Newtown street art, knew the answer to every question asked, personally knows all the artists we saw (many who are now internationally famous..I had no idea), is a local to the point she grew up here and lives around the corner, is a independent artist herself, and just overall wonderful and personable. Only 4 of us on the tour, so it felt like a private one.
  • Being an Aussie and having visited Sydney on a number of occasions, I was keen to explore somewhere new. Culture Scouts Chippendale and Redfern Walking tour proved to be not only perfect for the regular visitor, like me, but also for new visitors, who are keen to scrape a little below the surface of the place they are visiting. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone remotely interested in architecture, urban planning, art, storytelling or just seeking a local's perspective and connection. Well done Culture Scouts and thank you Greg, our very informative tour guide!
