Chinese Garden of Friendship, Sydney

4.6
Garden · Historic Site
Nestled between the shiny glass buildings of Darling Harbour, Chinese Garden of Friendship feels like a secret spot. Entering the garden, you walk into a piece of traditional Chinese landscaping in downtown Sydney. Walk past small waterfalls, exotic plants, and pavilions, and watch koi carp swim in lakes. Sit down at the Teahouse for Chinese tea and dim sum, and visit the Dragon Wall to understand its symbolic bond between New South Wales and Guangzhou. • I like the gardens, small but very enjoyable. It was great to spend a couple of hours taking pictures etc..  more »
  • I like coming here. It is so quite and peaceful. And the price is affordable. You can come alone or with the family.  more »

  • Loved how peaceful this place is. The only downside is that the entry fee is $6 each which is not very expensive but there‚Äôs not much to do inside. You can sit and chill for sure. Loved how the plants and trees are so well kept and cut. Te water definitely needs to be a little more clean.
  • A beautiful and relaxing place to visit. Even on Lunar New Year, it was quiet and relaxed. I could happily come here and relax all day. It's hard to believe that this place exists so close to the urban environment but is so far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life.
