Stockton Sand Dunes, Port Stephens

Geologic Formation · Nature / Park
Golden waves of sand rise 30 m (98.4 ft) above the sea at Stockton Sand Dunes. Consider renting a four-wheel drive vehicle to drive along the 32 km (20 mi) beach along the dunes. You'll need a permit to drive the car near the water, but the dunes are free for sand trekking on foot. Climb the highest of these dunes for views of the sea, then sand surf down to the beach to relax in the dune's shadow. • Beautiful place and lovely sand dunes. It was a bit difficult to find the entry to the beach due to incorrect location marker. The only entry point to beach i could find was from the far end.
  • We’re really enjoyed our time during the visit. Stuffs were very friendly and informative. We would definitely go back again ❤️
