St Mary Star of the Sea Reviews

I recently attended for a wedding and was suitably impressed with the Church, both the physical structure, and the spiritual. The Presiding Priest was warm and effectual, and was nothing short of wonderful throughout. The Church itself is quite beautiful, and was quite reasonable inside, despite oppressive heat on the day. The grounds are nicely cared for and the church is we positioned
My first impression was that this was more than just a parish church as it felt more like a cathedral. It's amazingly beautiful both inside and out. Built from sandstone in a Gothic revival architectural style, St Mary's has a majestic presence in this location. Inside it looks much better than I thought it would. The stained glass windows are amazing and have a dramatic impact on the amount of natural light inside the church. I was surprised at how bright it actually was inside. The marble high alter on three steps and with the scene of the last supper is also spectacular in term of its size and beauty. On the fringe of the CBD I also love the church's setting, in a beautiful location with the small gardens directly in front on William and Howard Streets. This was my first time visit when recently passing by and I felt an invitation to walk in. I have to say that it was a very uplifting experience.
