  • My girlfriend and I enjoyed a couple of fantastic tours with the Urban Adventures team. On one of the trips, we went around some of Kyoto’s most famous temples and the Gion District. Our tour guide Miyake was extremely knowledgeable and answered everyone’s questions very well. The tour followed a great route that was broken up by several train journeys - which was nice as it was extremely hot. The route was always picturesque and interesting, following streets that you definitely would have missed without a guide. Train tickets were provided to us by the tour guide which made this very easy - as well as some delicious cookies towards the end of the tour. The backstreets of the Gion District district were fascinating and we got to see the Geisha houses up close. It never felt rushed or like it was moving too quickly to be able to enjoy the destinations. A must do when visiting Kyoto!
  • Went to the Cu Chi Tunnels with Linda our guide. She was punctual at the pick up point at the post office and very cheerful for such an early hour (7.30am). We were on our way in quick time ready for the drive to the tunnels. Linda ( Hoang Le) was pleasant, informative and caring often asking us if we had any needs or questions. The little farm we visited on the way was a pleasant experience learning how to make rice paper and even better because no-one wanted you to buy anything. The tunnel tour was very informative and a little daunting if you suffer any form of claustrophobia, Again our guide Linda tended to our every need from explaining the history of the tunnels to showing us how to eat tapioca. On the way back to our hotel we talked about the days tour and were surprised when she indicated that the majority of Vietnamese people had little animosity towards the Americans and Australians. After a pleasant trip home we were quite sad to have to say goodbye to our knew found friend. She made our day a day to remember.
