Great place to look at Aboriginal art. Often the artist is there painting. Ladies in the shop were very nice and helpful. Lots of great choices of art! And book choices downstairs. Wanted to buy more but my budget wouldn't allow!!!

Friends told me about Readback several years ago after their trip to the Northern Territory. They bought me back two smaller pieces of Indigenous art from two trips - which I love. They themselves have bought multiple pieces on two trips to Readback. I have bought two pieces either via their website or by speaking to Sherry (I constantly check their website), the most recent by Selina Numina. I had my eye on a piece on their website by Selina and left it a couple of weeks. When I went back it was not on the site. When I contacted Sherry she said it had been sold but unprompted she offered to see if Selina would do a commission. Within a couple of days she had confirmed Selina was happy to do this and in a couple of weeks the piece arrived! The art is stunning and very well priced. The service is exceptional. I highly recommend supporting our nation's first people and considering original Indigenous artwork from Readback. I love the fact that not only are they original but all have a story. On another occasion Sherry had kindly sent me pictures of other art in my preferred styles and colours so I could make a selection as the number of pieces on their site is limited. I never thought I would be able to afford to hang original artwork on my walls. I love every piece. I can't wait to visit the shop one day rather than the website.
