Broome Bird Observatory
Broome Bird Observatory is an educational, scientific and recreational facility located 24 km from Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It began operating in 1988 under the auspices of the non-profit organisation Birds Australia to provide a base for the study and enjoyment of the birds of Roebuck Bay and adjoining areas. The bay boasts the highest diversity of migratory waders in Australia. In March and April, immense flocks of waders can be watched as they depart to their breeding grounds in the northern hemisphere.Plan your Broome Bird Observatory visit and explore what else you can see and do in Broome using our Broome trip site.

Nice place hot in the afternoon. Best time either early morning or evening to visit. Quiet place road to the place is gravel so better to have 4wd but small car can also manage.

Beautiful spot. Takes a while to get to but well worth it. You'll need a 4x4. There's a small shop and clean toilets. We didn't try the campsite. Recommended
