Come see the zoo The Crocodile Hunter helped build. Steve Irwin's parents, Bob and Lyn, started Australia Zoo as a reptile park. Money that Steve and his wife Terri raised from The Crocodile Hunter transformed the park into the pristine, 40 hectare (100 acre) wildlife conservation center it is today. Head to the Crocomuseum for an introduction to massive, sharp-toothed crocodiles. Feed kangaroos at Roo Heaven. Pet koala bears at Pat A Koala. You might even see a vet in action at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Arrange to visit Australia Zoo and other attractions in Beerwah using our Beerwah day trip site .

Australia Zoo Reviews
I understand zoos aren’t everybody’s cup of tea but this place was absolutely awesome. Animals are kept in acres of space and all appear to be well looked after... as I would expect. Really pleased... more »
Aussie Zoo has come a long way since my last visit many years ago when Steve was there. Only reason for the 4 is it can get very crowded so recommend you go on weekdays during school hours. My family.... more »
We love it. Our 4yr old loves seeing all the animals as you enter the park with the Rangers , snakes, lizards, cockatoos etc. The bouncy pillow and water park are also a hit. Awesome well laid out zoo. Even a cart to take you about if you don't fancy the walk
+ Spacious but doable even with younger children, nice trails, train, bouncy play area. Amazing shows, near the food court too. Petting and feeding areas, lots of photo opportunities. Spacious parking lot, a short walk from the entrance. Well-stocked gift shop. - Room for some animals seems to be too small (eg. tiger)
